Hello All,

I am starting my Kinnaur trip from Sector 43 ISBT by Chandigarh-peo bus.

I will have 5-6 hours in hand and need to reach Sector 43 ISBT by 5 pm.

Please suggest some sight-seeing places which can be covered in 5-6 hour time span by public transport or shared autos etc.

I read online about rock garden etc. but not sure if visiting those gardens in noon time will be a good idea??

Please guide.
Thanks
Regards

U can go to elante mall ( in Industrial Area), the best option is sukhna lake. The city is full of parks but in summer afternoons u won't find anything there. So i would suggest sukhna lake.

Hi

Thanks a lot for the information.

How do I cover rock garden and sukhna lake by CTU bus?

I guess I can catch buses from sec 17 bus stand for both the destinations?

Are both of them open around 11 am ?..which of them should be covered first ?..how is the bus frequency.

Too many questions I know but please help.
Regards

P.S.: I read paddling and amusement park activities can be undertaken at Sukhna lake..still available as lake was closed last year and open in Jan-15??

You can get an auto for both the places & both are the nearby 17 sector bus stand. Both the places get opened around 9AM. Definetly you would get alot of activities to enjoy at sukhna lake. Crowd is not bad there as well. Lake is opened now.

Sukna Lake is pretty close to the Rock Garden. You could even easily walk, enjoying an ice cream on the way, its just approx. 1-1.2 km along the Uttar Marg. Or if its to hot, take an auto/rickshaw.
During my visit I went first to discover the Rock Garden and afterwards relaxed a bit by the lake.
Enjoy it.
