Do they have flu in India?

Hope you are fine

It took you five years to notice?

I wish we could have posting rate, averaged over a period, rather than headlining the total.

Actually... I was thinking of posting a travel thread! I'm supposed to be in the car, on the other side of India, four weeks from now. And precious little has got organised.

Thank you! Sadly, Mrs N does not drive. If she did, we would do much more car travel!

Now here's the bad news. Kittens. Animal Life #13*.

We will still go, at least to our Kerala destination and function but the 1,500km round trip (taking in Coorg and Mysore), which would necessarily be extended by my desire to do limited-distance easy hops, might be curtailed. And we might actually use the train ticket I have in reserve, although that leaves us with the problem of getting back by train at short notice.

Kittens. 4 weeks. They'll just be getting out and about, adventurous and full of nuisance at that time.

cats! --- if it hadn't been for a sick cat causing a cancelled trip, we would have bought a house near Alleppey, ten years ago. It was lined up, and affordable then. Heyho, actually maintaining one house is enough, so maybe all turned out well.

*Somehow, specific-post links from my system don't work

Thanks, aarosh... I had not got around to looking yet, but will.

As for the missed driving. I guess it just has to be Ambattur again! Or maybe we'll make Coorg later in the year.

Thanks Aarosh: booked return on 11 April. Train 12601: 3 2AC available, snapped up two.
Am holding RAC tickets out for 5th, and confirmed tickets out for 6th. I guess I'd better decide soon which to cancel. And arrange the babysitters.

Good news, our sweet ray of sunshine, our very own Miss Daisy, has checked in with me...she has just been extremely busy with all kinds of personal projects & school projects, & family affairs....but she is fine, & hopefully she will check in here with her IM family & friends sooner or later...and yes, I do have her permission to report this, in case anyone thinks it not perfectly proper!
