Visa card or Rupay card

My bank recently issued me a rupay card after my visa card expired.

There are some extra restrictions on the rupay card as can be read from the brochure accompanying the card. But the bank folks say that the restrictions would be minimal and charges not as described. (Its the bank that decides the charges is how it was described!)

I haven't used the card as yet and was planning to return it and request for a visa card. Then I was given the make in India argument as well by the bank officials!
So do I become patriotic or do I take care of my business?

I have a Rupay card issued by my co-op bank. It works fine and I was able to use it in shops and online payments without any problem.
