Cheapest countries to visit: Your list !

One (wo)man's cheap is other's expensive !

Not that all lists are worthwhile, and not that one's notion of cheap might be cheap for others - For what it's worth, as a conversation piece - A list from Thrillist

I used to hear tell of the affordable charms of Eastern Europe from fellow Londoners. No, silly! Not those charms: the ones involving landscape and small towns. I recall someone telling me that they went there (I forget which country) for dentistry, due to the low cost.

Skim-scrolling the article, Laos looks nice.

I think it depends on the individuals as to how cheap they want to travel. As you get older, comfort becomes a necessity. Traveling through SE Asia it is hard to sleep at night without an a/c. The shine of eating $2 meals wears off once you get an upset stomach.

Laos is a beautiful country. Luang Prabang should be on every traveler's list.

I have recently returned from Morocco and while it is possible to do it on the cheap, it is advisable to pay a little more for comfortable and secure accommodation. Very hospitable country with a lot of well documented scams & ruses to watch out for. Also, watch what time of the year you visit, as July when we went was 43 degrees inland, minus the humidity of India, but magnificent on or near the coast. Zamba.
