Hello Everyone,
It has been a long time since I've visited IM. At the moment I'm on holiday in California visiting my mom (I live in Japan). Yesterday I picked up a copy of USA Today (a national newspaper). I was sort of annoyed when I got home and found out it was a Friday paper (yesterday was Sunday) but read it anyway even though the news was dated. In the Living Section there was a very long article about a woman who traveled around the world in 8 days. What a surprise to see India Mike mentioned as her source of "Indian Information" and a huge photo of Namaste Tour's Jawavar (sorry for spelling mistake).
Way to go!! I hope that the publicity brings a lot of good luck and fortune your ways!

p.s. forgive me if this has been mentioned on another list. I'm using a library computer and have a time limit of 15 minutes. Don't have the time to search the Forum.

Yes, Diane, this was in another thread a couple days ago but I think that you just can't say enough good things about both IM and NIT!

I was reading the paper and quite by accident and found it as well!

Smile India Mike and USA Today

Diane! I too read the article celebrating the classic novel Around the World in 80 days. Actually this would be the 100th anniversary of Jules Verne's novel. I became a member of India Mike through that article and am loving this site. Great site and a great way to pass time, if not passing gas.

It was an excellent article and I must admit I was thrilled to actually see this sites name in print. This site has been mentioned in other newspapers and there was a magazine article about it awhile ago but I had never seen any of them, I always heard "oh I read about it in this newspaper" and so on.

So it was pretty thrilling to pick up the paper and see this site mentioned and the photo of Jawahar from NIT, who is probably feeling pretty famous right now .

All in all it's great fun and I cannot get over the thrill that a small little hobby site got mentioned in USA Today.

just so....

that you can brag about it & win any bets in a drunken bar, scan the article and upload it somewhere.

You never know, there will always be a sucker who'll challenge you to prove it! easy money, I say.
