Hi Everybody!

Enroute to Ooty, I would be staying 1 Night @ Bangalore and 1 Night @ Mysore.

My itinerary is something like this:

DAY 1: Reach Bangalore @ 7 AM(from HYD), Sightseeing and night stay at Bangalore)

DAY 2: Proceed to Mysore by 6.30 volvo bus. Sightseeing, Night stay at Mysore.

Day 3: Visit bandipur and proceed to Ooty.

What are the important sight seeing places to be covered in Bangalore and Mysore?

After considerable research I found that Lalbagh Botanical Garden, Sir Visweshwariah Industrial And Technological Museum, Vidhana Soudha & Attara Kacheri and ISKCON temple are worth seeing at Bangalore.

Similarly, at Mysore the important places are: Chamundi Hills, Mysore Palace, Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary, Tippu’s Palace, Brindavan Gardens, Jaganmohan Palace, Zoo.

As I'm traveling with my kid, I do want to make it interesting rather than boring. Any recommendations please ... to include or exclude the places.

Any recommended sequential order to be followed to save time and energy. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Bangalore

you can choose to ignore lalbagh as you will be visiting botanical garden in ooty also. you can include tippu's summer palace (wooden palace) and kote venkataramana swamy temple which are next to each other and it will take less than 1hr to cover both as they are not crowded. shiva temple in Domlur (old airport road).

Mysore : you should not miss srirangapatna enroute to mysore. 10km before mysore on bangalore -mysore highway This is the place of historical importance and tippu sultan was killed here. beautiful cauvery flows next to the temple. frequent buses are available from mysore. Nanjangud famous shiva temple which is also of architectural excellence is on the way to bandipur is a must visit temple(25kms from mysore on bandipur highway and 1km of the highway)

Thanks oorvashe for inclusions! It seems the sight seeing is occupied with temples.
It might not fascinate my kid to enjoy the architecture. That's the only concern.
Anyway, I would like to cover srirangapatnam from mysore (as KSTDC bus will not allow me to do it enroute)
