Relocating to Bangalore

I will be moving with my family to Bangalore around January for an indefinite amount of time (likely 2-3 years). Not being familiar with the city, I am a bit unsure where to look for housing. I would like the following:
1. Relatively close (30 min by car) to my office near IIM on Bannerghatta Road
2. Nice neighborhood in good part of city
3. Close (as in walking distance) to markets, shops, pubs, parks, etc.
4. Size: 3-4 bedroom (what can I expect to pay for this?)

Any advice on where might be a good area to focus my search?

People above have already responded to your query.
A suggestion would be is to include your budget.

As mentioned above, BTM, JP Nagar, L&T south city (2bhk = 10-15k)
Check out the tons of apartments behind Apollo hospital.

HSR layout

also, consider HSR layout, its one of the biggest areas in Bangy as well as one of the quietest. best thing is its not as croweded as other places mentioned above.
