Christmas Lunch in Bangalore?
Okay so I have probably left it far too late but where can I go for a traditional Christmas lunch buffet, not too concerned about price but if it is inclusive of drinks it would be nice. Any suggestions would be gratefully recieved.
Thanks and Happy Christmas.
Thanks and Happy Christmas.
If you are not too concerned about the price then you should check up with the 5-star hotels like leela and Taj westend (Their brunch on weekends costs around 1300/- ). If you dont want the drinks then you should check out Indijoe at air port road. Their lunch buffet is excellent value for money priced at 175/-.
I dont know about Christmas, But "THE ONLY PLACE" had a turkey buffet dinner for Thanksgiving. You could give it a try.. I was dying for some,..they even gave pumpkin pie
We occasionally visit there, when I get a craving for home food..They even serve steak. Though I am leary of eating any beef in India. I tend to wonder where it came from.. is this the cow that didnt make it through traffic or what? :P Hehe..Prices are decent..a bit expensive..but nothing like the Leela, dinner for two usually costs between rs. 600-700.

Thanks for reminding the name of the restaurant, THE ONLY PLACE. I had been there last year (I am PIO living in US) when I visited. I met with another PIO who is working in Bangalore and she had brought a friend with her husband who are Indian. If I recall, they have a large outdoor seating, and although, they do not have a liquor license, they can get beer from the nearby shop and pour into Coke plastic glasses! Also they have a wide menu. So, here I was, ordering tradional Indian fare - paratha and goat curry. The local Indians ordered steak and western fare! Funny how we crave what we miss.
Cheers

Sunny's had a plated X'mas lunch and may continue for a we days after. Try OP's, they'll have turkey, but no ham, till the end of the year.
