Car hiring and package tour price starts and ends at Bangalore?

It is our second time in Bangalore, and we plan to pick a local travel agency for car hiring + hotels for a 5D4N trip, pick up and drop off at Bangalore. We got some quotes already, this time, it seems to be more expensive than our first time round, but I know times are different now, so we expect to pay more.

I would still like to ask if the quotes we got are reasonable:
Duration of the trip: 5 days 4 nights, pick up and drop off at the hotel in Bangalore.

Rough travel itinerary: Hospet, Hampi, Bijapur, Kudalasangama, Aihol, Pattadakal, Mahakuta, Badami, Chitradurga.
With an AC car and stay in mid range hotels(4 nights), with breakfasts, with AC and ensuit bathroom.

The quotes we got are from 32000 to 35000 rupees. (per couple)

Hence, I would like to ask if the quotes are reasonable.

Its about 1200 km door to door. So the car with driver alone would be around 14-15,000 Rs at 12rs/km.

Thanks, more questions, during the recent years, the hotel rate seems to grow massively in India, I know everywhere is different, hence how much is the average price for a mid range hotel with AC and ensuite bath/western toilet in Karnataka? I had a look at Tripadvisor & Booking.com, seems to be easily above 2500 rs a night now.

Anyway, by taken into account of driver's bhatta and hotel rate, it should be around 28000rs to 30000rs, so I assume that the travel agency is earning extra 4000rs to 5000rs from the customers. So I guess 32000rs to 35000rs isn't a bad price.

One final question, for car hiring or travel agencies in India, Is there any flexibility on the price? If it is, normally how many percent should I haggle for?

Do note that for package tours, the rates differ.
So if individually, the car costs x amount, the hotels cost y amount, ideally the package would cost less or just about equal to the combined price. (less than x+y).

So I would say get them down atleast to x+y if not lesser. Knowing your foreign tourist status would make them try to get a bigger profit - you may or may not oblige.
Also do try to go in for some of the better known agencies, recommended by your friends or people around here to be sure of a good experience. You wouldn't want to spoil it over 2 or 3k over a 5 day period.

So good agency and then some bargaining if possible. :)

Thanks Snotty

Very useful suggestion

I will try to bargain from 28000rs, and do not want to pay more than 30000rs
