Hi Folks,

Am planning a visit to Kamakhya in Nov on my return from Meghalaya. I should reach at arount 11.30 am. How much time do i need for Dharshan. My flight is next day early morning. Any other places that i can visit.

It takes around 2 and half - 3 hours for the free darshan. The paid darshan may take around 40 mins. This is based on my experience. I think if you go to the temple in the afternoon you should be out by evening. I'm not sure about the timings of the temple in the afternoon.

The temple remains opened for devotees from 8 AM to 1 PM and 2:30 PM to 5.30 PM. On Special Occasions, these timings get extended.
