Skin Deep: The Tale of India’s Tattoo Tradition

"Among the Toda tribe of South India, the hands and calves and shins are tattooed with the same geometric patterns used in their embroidery."

While traveling around Tamil Nadu I've seen more than a few people with these geometric patterns.

When they catch a glimpse of my tats, it's a real ice-breaker, let me tell you!
