Yes, Vizag in June will be hot. But if you are lucky and get some rain, it will be much pleasant. and 8 days are more than enough for a Vizag trip.

I would suggest the following (Considering you are reaching Vizag on 17th June Morning)
17 June: Vizag
18 June: Yarada, Bhimili and other sight seeing
19 June: Rishikonda
20 June: Borra Caves, Ananthagiri
21 June: Araku and a nearby waterfalls (can't remember the name right now), night stay at Ananthagir/Araku
22 June: Reach Jagdalpur and visit Chitrakoot waterfalls
23 June: Reach home

However, the waterfall might not have enough water in June. In that case, you can avoid Jagdalpur and visit Hyderabad (either make it the start or end point of your trip)

Try to travel in early mornings and late afternoons to avoid heat. Best of luck.

RK beach. For hotels and packages, if you have a budget, you can inbox me. We went there with a tour agent and they were really good. The package is totally customizable, and the price was quite reasonable.

Hi,
Lot of places to see in Vizag and Araku. Cannot decide which one to skip, as I have six days to cover.
Hope I can cover both places if I keep 3 days each.
Thanks.

Yes, 6 days should be good enough to cover all the major attractions in Vizag & Araku

No need to skip any place in Vizag at all. 6 days are more than enough for a Vizag trip. 2 days in Vizag will help you cover the places comfortably. Beyond that, you can stay in Rishikonda to enjoy the view of the sea from there (book the APTDC there).

Enjoy! And try the Biryani at Alpha, if you are still in Vizag, and if you love the taste of Biryani.

1. Not sure. There is certainly a road that goes to Araku, but I can't recall seeing any public bus. You can inquire at your hotel. You can try the Kriundul exp. (even without the reserved tickets, if that is your problem)
2. Did you mean the Borra caves? It is on the way to Araku (around 2-2.5 hrs ahead of Araku)

If you have a choice try to visit the caves when students aren't there. It becomes a madhouse and doesn't allow much appreciation..

Hi all,
Had a wonderful Vizag- Araku trip. Let me share a bit so that it might help others...
I reached Vizag on 17th June 2017 afternoon. I stayed at Treebo Sea Rock hotel in Daspalla hills. Nice hotel in a hilly area around 1.5 km from RK Beach. There is a restaurant at the entrance. They serve good food.
Spent the evening in the beach.
Next day took a cab for site seeing. The places I visited are Simhachalam (Lord Narashima Temple), Dr.D.Rama Naidu Studio, Zoo, Kailashgiri, Rushikonda Beach, INS Kurusura Submarine Museum,FishAquarium, Submarine Museum, Kalimata Temple,Thodla Konda.
Next day we relaxed at the RK Beach and in the evening went to Jagdamba market area and did little bit of marketing.
20th June morning went to Araku by train (glass coach). Nice train, nice facilities. If you like scenery you will enjoy. There are lot of tunnels. We reached at around 11.30 am. Took an auto to reach our hotel - HARITHA VALLEY RESORT . Nice Resort. Good food.
There is a Bengali hotel for food opposite the resort.
From here on did the travelling economically. Took an Auto for site seeing. The autowala is very good. If you want his number, inbox me.
The places we saw on the first day were Padma Puram garden, Tribal museum, A waterfall (Shooting Place), Coffee Museum. Nothing much to see, a small market.
21st morning took the same auto to see Borra Caves, Galikonda View Point, Coffee plantation, A waterfall on the way. We had bamboo chicken in the end.The rest of the evening we relaxed at the resort.
The worth seeing place in Araku is Borra Cave.
Next day morning took the Express Bus for Vizag as our train was at night. Fare 112/- and child half fare.Ever hour there are buses and very few stoppage.
We did the trip leisurely so kept 2 nights in each place.
Vizag was quite hot but Araku was pleasant.
Trying to upload some photos..
Thats all.... Hope it might help you
Bye
