Firstly you've got it planned very nicely...kinda perfect

Stay @ Rushikonda beach resort is bliss ! Nice restaurant right there few steps away from your stay - "Vihar"

You can even have this option at Araku - Hill Resort - Araku (Yatri Nivas)

Places to visit in vizag

Port + a nice boat ride
Submarine - will be fun for you and the kids.
Kailashgiri hill - around evening (sunset) and you'l love it. one place from where you get the see whole of vizag !

Rest pretty neat !

Have fun ! n a safe trip !
Peace

Your trip looks nice.

But since you are visiting Araku, you should probably also consider visiting the Borra caves. If you are up for it, there are several hikes that can be done in the mountains around Araku.

I stayed at the Rishikonda beach resort. It is really a great bargain for a place like that. Try to book a room with a large view of the seafront. They are at the other end of the resort from the reception. Good rooms might get booked, so plan carefully and book one in advance.

borra caves should not be missed if you are travelling to araku. its really an experience. the train to araku from vizag alts at the makeshift station the locals call "boraguhalu"..you can easily get down there, visit the caves and go to araku in a local cab. it'll take u around 45 mins..if i remember correctly. alternatively you can hire a cab from araku to visit borra caves nd back. the kids as well you will like it.

Can you please share the experience of that trip?
Have you faced any sort of problem related to Naxal activities near Jagdalpur area?
I am planning to have the trip by road from Kolkata starting on 30th July.
Can you let us know the road condition there?
I am yet to finalize the route that I would follow, the fact is that I have heard that West Orissa and chhattisgarh is the most affected area and not safe for drive.
Initially I was planning going Via Sambalpur to Jagdalpur and then come back via visakhapatnam.

Please help.

Thanks and regards,
Souvik.
