Hi All,
I am planning a trip to Tirupati in coming August end or September start. I searched online and found that Venkateshwara Swamy temple (dad is interested to visit the balaji temple) is the place where we all want to visit. My question is -

1. What are the other good places to visit in Tirumala - I am assuming Balaji temple is in Tirumala?

2. Does it require much walking from the parking area? Of all 6 people, 4 are seniors aged above 60 and my mom is not able to walk much.

3. How many days will it require to complete the tour if planned for visiting almost all religious and sacred places in Tirumala/ Tirupati?

4. Does visiting the Balaji Temple require purchasing tickets? If so, how long can it take? Is there any other provision of purchasing the tickets - say, online?

5. To save money, I am also planning to take the HWH YPR DURONTO train from Howrah. On the other hand, flights are taking more than 10 hours to commute from CCU to TIR. Want to know your feedback on this.

Request you all to share your experience in this thread. Moreover, if possible, can you all please recommend any good hotel in those places?

I personally do not have any idea about the place and wish to get some before our tour...

Yes, Balaji temple is in Tirumala. You may take bus fro Tirupati to reach there.

You may visit https://ttdsevaonline.com/#/login and learn the way to book special darshan tickets. It would be better to book ticket online. It will save a lot of time...

If you do not wish to pay then will have to be in darshan queue for more than 12 hours... under Sarvadarshanam scheme. The entrance for this darshan is through the Vaikuntam Queue Complex. The complex is a series of inter-connected halls that leads to the main temple.

There are free buses on the Tirumalai Hill to negotiate locally. Else, will have to walk some distance, but everything is within walking distance...
