I apologize if Tirupati Darshan has been discussed umpteen times, but I could not find most recent information on this topic.

I will be arriving Tirupati from Delhi on Monday 03/22/2010 at 21:05 with my 12yrs old daughter and my parents (in their 70s).

I need advice on what are my options and how best I can use my time to get the Darshan. I am planning on leaving Tirupati for Hyderabad on Wed 24th by 8:10 AM flight, if possible, so that I can catch 12:45 Rajdhani from Hyderabad to New Delhi. (But this can be changed). As I am currently in the US, what are my options for booking the Seva tickets etc.

If I arrive on Mon 21:05 (Tirupati), do I have enough time to get to the Special Seva: Ashtadala Pada Padmaradhana on Tuesday at 06:30-07:30? If so, what do I need to do for it now? How can I book the seva-ticket now? Or do you recommend me the Special Seva (Sahasra Kalasabhishekam 05:30 to 06:00AM) on Wed 24th? If we did this, will we have enough time to catch the 8:10 AM flight or should I take the afternoon flight to Hyderabad?

Thanks.

Have you already booked for both this sevas ?

The reason why I ask you this, Its been more than 2 -3 months since Tirumala Tirupathi devasthanam has canceled all the sevas and just honouring the old bookings.

You can take a 300 Rs ticket and get a dharshan.

For your Information: Sahasra Kalasabhishekam was completely booked till 2021 when we tried for it one year back.

I have not been able to book as the site does not allow me to do eBooking of the sevas, and hence I am even more confused at this time.

OMG, I had neve in my wildest dream imagined that Sahasra Kalasabhishekam would be booked that lomg in advance! It is out of question for me now then. So my best bet seems to get the Rs 300 tickets once we get there. Is there anything else that I can do?

Thanks.

I beg a pardon!

Itz not opposite the Vaikuntam Complex!

They have made seperate lane adjascent to Vaikuntam Complex where once we proceed in the Q in between they will provide tickets against payment of Rs.300/- This quick darshan itz popularly known as 'SHEEGRA DARSHAN' in TTD terms.

I had been there on 16th Jan 2010. Inspite of going thru Sheegra Darshan it took 5 hours for us to have Sri LORD darshan!

Info on 300rs darshan

Hello friends

I am planning to drive to tirumala from bangalore with family(includes 1.5 yr kid)

I read the thread and what i understand is that 300rs ticket is to be taken on the spot

1. I am planning to reach tirumala on sunday evening, take rest and have darshan next morning. Is this OK ?
So can you please suggest best timing to avoid rush since i am taking my baby(Early morning is also not possible for me,but should be fine after 6-7)

2. Also i wanted to know about the e-accomodation, i can see that rooms available for march 7th(can anyone tell me about rooms of 300 or 500rs ?) we are 4 adults.

3. driving to top on self vehicle. i know that there is security checks done. so i want to know if there will be any rush for this.
Reason why i want to know is because, if i cant get rooms on top, i will have to stay in tirupati town and plan to travel to top early morning(please suggest some timings for both)

Thanks in advance

Raj

Hello,

Yes! Rs.300/- tickets are being issused while u move in the Q for Darshan.

Especially in Tirumala, nobody can predict when rush will be poured-in or will move at normal phase! So, based on your convenience u can go ahead for Darshan. Morning 6.0 or 7.0am is also fair time to join for Darshan. And I belive now there is a special arrangements for the people who carry infant/small kids and elders. Please check out at Temple's main entrance to know more about.

If rooms are available on March 7th thru e-accommodation please book immediately before it exhausts. About rooms worth Rs.300 & 500/- sorry I have no idea. What I was mentioned earlier is for Rs.100/- This accommodation is also fairly better, in my opinion. This e-accommodation booking is only for TIRUMALA (top of the hill).

If you are planning to stay down the hill (TIRUPATHI) you can avial the facility of taking accommodation at SRINIVASM COMPLEX which is very near to Bus stand. Availability of rooms purely based on rush. It depends!

While starting uphill journey for travellers & for vehicle there are thorough security checks and it will take approx 10-15 mins and that too depends upon the rush at that time.

Have a safe & happy journey.

Jay

Thanks Jay

How about the food on top ? will i get breakfast early morning(dinner in the night) or its better to stay in tirupati town to take care of food needs, and drive uphill next morning for darshan

I believe the darshan opens at 7(plz confirm?) i am planning to reach as early as possible to finish darshan fast.

As of now planning for reaching there on March7th and having darshan on 8th morning(Hope this is not a peak time) since Ugadi is just a week after that

Also, Please share some more light on accomodation(Does the rooms have hot water?) eatouts near by, parking for vehicals ? .. just to make sure i go with right expectations

I would like to know the difference between say 100,150 and 300 rs rooms

You need not to worry about food at all either at Tirumala or Tirupathi. Itz available in all ranges.

Darshan is open for public round the clock but for some regular breaks as per Temple's procedures, I think. Inpsite of having regular movement sometimes it takes a lot of time to have darshan say from 3 to 24 hours! In your case it may happen any time within 5 hours, itz just a guess!

Don't worry too much about veh parking, food, hot water etc., etc., Everything will be manageable once u drop-in. Just cool
