20 March: Ross and Smith islands, Diglipur
21 March: Saddle peak trek, Diglipur
22 March: Diglipur - Rangat, sightseeing, & overnight stay
23 March: Rangat - Havelock by govt ferry & overnight stay
24 March: Havelock

26 March: Neil - Port Blair & Cellular Jail Light and Sound show
27 March: Fly out

Itinerary 2

Both are fine. If you plan to go to Havelock directly by ferry from Rangat, it is only Govt ferry and online booking is not possible. If the onward journey is by road, you may be ending up paying for the return road trip as well!

Thanks Ravi. None of the agents I have spoken to is willing to book the ferry from Rangat. They are offering road option only. Also, I have not found any bus package to Diglipur. Seems like a bus has to be booked in person from Port Blair.

Has anyone here taken a bus to Diglipur, or has taken the ferry from Rangat to Havelock? What about the helicopter service to Diglipur, anyone taken that?

The issue with taking a bus to Diglipur is how will you visit Baratang? If you get down at Baratang then how will you get to Diglipur from there?
You might have searched and seen this page though it is short on specifics!
