Hello All,

I wanted to visit Andamans when I was a bachelor, and now I have got the opportunity to visit it, with my wife and 10 year old daughter

Travel period: April 1st to April 9th

I will be reaching Portblair on April 1st: 3PM

Portblair: Day 2 days: ( April 1 & 2. Check-out April 3rd )

Havelock Island:
Day 3 and Day 4: ( April 3rd and April 4th. Check-out April 5th )

Neil Island:
Day 5 and Day 6: ( April 5th and April 6th. Check-out April 7th )

Remaining 2 days:
April 7th and April 8th. ( Checkout - April 9th )

This trip is for relaxing and having fun, I don't want to spend too much time traveling or roaming around.

I have 2 more days ( 7th and 9th )
Do you suggest me to come back to Portblair. Or can i stay at any other island? Or do you suggest me to extend 1 or 2 nights at Havelock / Neil.

Please guide and suggest me, so that I can do the hotel booking accordingly.

Thank you all for your suggestions.

Regards,
Raj.

On Mondays (April 2 & 9) and many attractions around Port Blair are closed. So plan your itinerary accordingly.

We spent 2 nights in Port Blair (only for the transit) 3 nights in Havelock - it left us wanting more! - 2 nights in Neil did not seem enough either. We left out the travels and the trip on the whole was very relaxing.

If you are not interested in traveling much (e.g. Baratang through tribal forest area) I would suggest that you spend more time in Havelock / Neil and book a beach side resort.

Good one is Barefoot at Havelock. Otherwise emerald gecko is for the budget conscious. Look up sshiv's 'pains of planning and pleasures of perseverance' report for all the info. Dont know about neil but my suggestion is to stick to perhaps three or four places in the time you have. It will be very hot and moving around will get tiresome.

We stayed at Dolphin resort (Andaman tourism dept run, bang on the Vijaynagar beach, but booking it is a difficult process) and Pearlpark in Neil (located on the sunset point in Lakshmanpur beach and has nice beach access).
