Fraudulent transaction on CC after buying train ticket

On 12th March I bought 2 tickets from main ticket office at Madurai train station. This was the only time I used that credit card in India (and the first time in 9 months - I only use it abroad). For the rest of the trip the card was either in my pocket or locked up in a hotel room.

When I got home yesterday I checked my statement to pay off the balance and there was a payment to iTunes on the 13th March. This was clearly fraudulent so I've had to contact the issuer and have the card stopped.

I'm not accusing the staff of any wrong-doing but clearly the system isn't secure. At some point in the transaction my details were compromised.

Tell me more about your itunes account transaction ?

I, with my US CC, have been unable to put for teens in India, monies into their itunes account in the past !
