He is the resident wild bison of the Pambar Shola at Kodaikanal. Pambar Shola is on the walking path to Vattakanal and Dolphins Nose. Mr Bison appeared suddenly out of nowhere, looked hard at us for a few seconds, decided we were harmless, then obligingly posed for a photo and toodled off down a very steep gradient into the dense forest. The lady at the tea stall told me he is a frequent visitor.
