Hi Maree, great photo. I just saw a documentary this week on the Kalash. One of the Kalash "elders" said that the Kalash themselves don't believe they are descended from the Greeks. The documentary said that a genetic study was done by scientists on the Kalash and this proved (how I don't know, since I don't know anything about gene stuff (!)) that the Kalash didn't come from Greece. However, the documentary also pointed out that many of the soldiers from Alexander's army weren't actually from Greece, being "multinational". My two cents worth, you get these "looks" from India to Europe, through Central Asia and Asia Minor, so really they could be from anywhere...not necessarily have come with Alexander's Army. But then again, they could have...They don't think so themselves though, it seems.
