This is the popular picture on all the Munnar Tourism posters. The Chokkanadu estate lies between Devikulam and Munnar town. We walked about 5km through the maze of tea estate pathways. Several bushes had tea flowers and seeds on them, which smelt of tea! The tea pickers balance themselves on the steep slopes by wedging a foot on the thick trunk of the tea bush. Wild ferns grow at the base of the trunk.
