After my son did the laundry he hung it up on the line and it started to rain. After a few hours we had to pack up and move on to Trincomali in the east of Sri Lanka. After traveling for four days of rain and unable to dry the clothes we took them to a laundry in Kandy and when they were opened up they really smelled. The laundry guy said they had the black mawl which are clothes that have mildewed to the point of almost no return. It took several washings to bring them back-and they had a commercial dryer the only one in Kandy.
