The two and half decade war never seems to end.
60,000 + dead countless injured and displaced.
In 1999 when this photo of young Sri Lankan soldiers on leave at Galle Face in Colombo Sri Lanka was taken it was a quieter time.
Although in a matter of days these guys were heading to the front line in Jaffna in the north where a more dangerous environment awaited them.
Obviously the guy to the left is a tourist - my son
