Sarkhej Roza
Sarkhej Roza comprises one of the most elegant architectural complexes about 8km from Ahmadabad. Grouped around a great stepped tank are the tombs of Saint Ahmed Khattu Ganj Buhsh (1445) Mosque (1451) the Tomb of Mehmud Shah Begara and his Queen Rajabai (1460) and Palace and Pavilions. The remarkable feature is complete absence of arches and the use of pierced stone trellises throughout.
