The Mumbai region has several species of wild orchids, you may not find them in the city that easily but you cannot miss them in the forests of surrounding Thane district. Ive collected quite a few from the erstwhile jungles of the Middle Vaitarna dam site where a huge tract of forest is being chopped down for the proposed dam, and they are all doing very well in my terrace. The above orchid Acampe P is very hardy, it blooms from anytime between Feb and May / June, sometimes you get the odd blooms in later months as well.
