Mr Patel was with us for a 6 day bus tour of southern Gujarat travelling about 900 Kilimeters in 6 days. Being an Indian based tour we were the only foreigners on the bus. Mr Patel who wore a different hat every day had being doing this tour regularly for over 10 years every other week. By my estimation he had done over 250 tours. An understatement but he really new the area. He was funny and spoke good English.
Language spoken amongst 28 bust people - Gujarati Hindi and some English
Cost 3,500 rupees all hotel and travel included.
Only expense was food 200 rupees a day or less and a little for fees to temples.
Runs every week in season. Starts and ends in Ahmadabad. To book contact the Gujarat tourist board. Its a deal of a lifetime.
