There's a story here, isn't that so Lord A ! When I saw this picture, I immediately thought "Hey! What a beautiful, cool spot to hang out!"...only to read your cautionary message below not quite the haven it looks Dare you mention what made it less than a haven for you?

I, too, would like to hear your thoughts on this place? The pictures (this one, and their website) look so good that we were considering spending part of our three weeks in Kerala there. We leave in ONE MONTH !! Anything you care to tell about Cherai Beach Resort?

We stayed there for 5 days in 2007 (when the picture was taken), and then visited again last month to use their fantastic restaraunt.
My only real gripe about the place is ..... the smell.
It has a subtle but ever-present whiff of sewage that drifts around the best looking part of the complex. It was bad enough to make us decide to stay up the beach at the Sealine Hotel (very nice, quiet place right on the beach).
