India, not so bad? How I almost killed someone, but didn't.

a) Bars close at 1, some clubs are open till 3
b) A 3 star hotel with AC in town should cost $5000 a night. I've no experience with one or two stars here.
c) One that I know of, the Bombay Presidency in Chembur.
d) I have no idea what one would do here if they didn't have to be. I suppose standing by the sidewalk spitting red juice at peoples feet. Mumbai is one of the worst tourist cities I've ever been to. I work everyday, and when I don't work I play golf.

5,000 US Dollars for a room in India?

Did you really mean that?

Kinda of trendy to substitute the "Dollars" moniker in place of "Rupees" .... especially among the younger generations .... assuming that is what is implied in this case(5000.00 rps not $5000.00) for a 3-star a/c.

Oh, like they call Rs "bucks" --- but TrinTrin is American, so I wouldn't expect him to do that...

Things is, I know nothing about Mumbai, Delhi, etc, except that the prices are a lot higher than most places in India, so I'm confused rather than confident it's a mistake.

I would have thought $5,000 would buy the best suite in the country?

lol this is just too funny .Usually paan is eaten chewed and spat out by taxi drivers , rickshaw driver and caddies .

Its all about hanging out at the right place and with the right crowd .

so true. I would have smacked him or better still backed my car and pretended to run him over again. That would have sorted out his injuries a lot faster. But smacking him would be a better option.
