Thanks.

another thing- I had called to see if the fan is working but those berbers are lazy and cannot be bothered to check.
Years ago when all my USA belongings got damaged in a flood while being in storage here in Spain- I recall the fan in my microwave did not work. My daughter took the mcrowave apart and there was mud throughout the unit. We cleaned out the mud and the unit and fan worked well for years.

With that thought in mind, I am thinking sand has messed up something with the fan.. Do you have any idea of the size? it must have electical connections I recall.

I will go on a quest for a small pump- (bigger than a fish tank one) and a small fan here this coming month.
(I happen to have problems with thrombosis in my legs so am not as mobile as I could be.)
I will try the internet for spanish stores but have little confidence.
I recall when I got this air cooler, they called it an Australian a/c here in Spain.
thanks

Those aircon kind of units have a rotary blower, often- at least in India.

Sorry can't help there.

The other types, I guess any appropriately sized medium speed fan would do.

Australia.. yep, I guess parts of it with dry heat would be ideally suited for the cooler. I remember reading once that there was a solar powered model available, too.
