Book club in Ahmedabad anyone?

Anyone in Ahmedabad interested in getting together for a regular reading group, say once a month? I'd be interested in novels mostly, like White Tiger, Thousand Splendid Suns, etc ... English language lit of the subcontinent, but open to other stuff as well.

My g/f will be here "soon" from Switzerland, and would be interested, I'm sure. Ya might even get me to tag along.

Looks like you've been luckier. I'm based in Mumbai and haven't found a book club yet.

Decided to give up and read away on my own.

book club

starting a book club shouldn't be tough. Get a few friends and spread the word around. Indians gobble up anything from Stephen Hawkings to whassisname writer of Harry Potter

You're right about that. There are a whole lot of readers out here. I've only just moved to India, so its taking me a while to get around.

But i'll follow your advice. Thanks much.

I don't know what you boys do on saturdays , instead of hitting the pubs with other blokes should we decide on a book and meet up to discuss it?
