Yoga In monsoon July/Aug

I'm going back to india at end of july, i've just come back from mcloadganj and it was starting to get bit too wet for my liking, but absolutly loved the place and will def head back there when its not so wet

I would like to find out where is the best place is to go in the mountains in july/aug where its not too wet and cold, and where there is good yoga?? Yoga is the really important thing!

I have been told that Kashmir is warm and also Leh, Ladakh...

Mahabodhi Meditation Center

From what I know, pretty much everywhere south of Ladakh is going to be pretty wet during the monsoon season. Like you thought - Jammu and Kashmir is going to be your best bet if you want mountains and dry weather. Although I haven't attended any of the classes, the branch campus of the Mahabodhi Meditation Center in Leh has hatha classes and sitting meditation at various times each day. Ask around and you'll find it once you get there.

Alternatively, if you're looking to work on your own practice, without the aid of teaching, you can go to the Mahabodhi Meditation Center proper, which is just a few miles down the road from Leh. Very quiet and very serene, and may be what you're looking for. Best!

I practiced hatha-yoga at Rishikesh in July, august, september. July is pretty hot and a bit humid ( you sweat pretty lot) but bearable (especially when you arrive from Delhi ).You can cool down by Ganga. Rains are not long lasting, just pour for 20 minutes and very soon it gets completely dry. Have never been to Himachal therefore can't compare.
