Yoga Ashram in Rishikesh

Hi IM'S!
Can anybody recommend me a good yoga ashram in Rishikesh having in mind I will only stay 2 or 3 days.? I do not mind the style as long as it is hatha , ashatanga or Iyengar.

I have been seriously practicing hatha yoga for 5 years now so I am not a beginner.

Help highly appreciated, I am thinking to visit Haridwar -Rishikesh over the w/e.

Regards!

Should be easy to find, an ashram in Rishikesh that is.- I always stay at Parmarth Niketon, and they are pretty flexible with guests and the yoga is usually sweet. Also the aarti at sunset is divine.
Enjoy your trip and give my regards to Ganga-Ma.

complications of yoga

40-year-old man developed swelling of the face and neck associated with respiratory distress of sudden onset. These symptoms followed a yoga exercise called "pranayam", which had involved a vigorous Valsalva manoeuvre.

Maybe. But I bet sport kills more people than yoga!

the difference is that we indulge into sports or for that matter in adventure sports for thrill for the adrenaline kick, whereas the yoga is practiced for its so called healing, calming or soothing properties.

Well, it must be said that pranayama can be a very strong practice and not one for the uninitiated.

That said, it seems a strange response to a query for a yoga ashram. If someone asks for a swimming pool in delhi do we reply with a link to a drowning story?

Anyway, parmath is probably the place for you. But if you happen to find you cant leave rishikesh due to its allure, you might want to check out the forest ashram. I's a fantastic location a few kms walk north up the Ganga.

Kidsan, from Berkshire Hathaway's annual report:

Okay, off topic, but I had to add this also from the B H Annual Report:
"You don't know if someone is swimming naked until the tide goes out."
Warren Buffett is a real card

Sorry, back to Yoga Ashram in Rishikesh--which I know nothing about...
