Yoga and Preschoolers, Toddlers, Moms

This is a question for those of you who know about yoga as I am pretty clueless. I happened to see a very well made yoga program for school age kids on T.V. And I know many of the schools have yoga instructors for older kids as well. But what about the little ones? I have a preschool in India for kids as young as 2.5 up to around 5-6 (a few older if they have significant disabilities.) The preschool is inclusive (kids with and without disabilities attend together) and I'd think I'd really like to have some type of yoga program but I don't know what is appropriate. My staff (who are most all Indian) support the idea but then I think they would support just about anything I suggest if it might help the kids.

Also, what about mom's and yoga? Do women, your typical mom type, practice yoga? Is it something they might want to do with the kids?

Thanks for any advice.

I do not teach kids' yoga, but one of my friends teaches kids' yoga, "tween" yoga, and "family yoga", so the answer is yes, at least here in the US. in fact, my friend's youngest daughters just began kindergarten, and she has been doing yoga with them for a few years now, so she started them young, obviously younger than 5.

Thanks! Do you think she could tell you how it's different from yoga for big kids? Other than difficulty of course.
