Question Why did God get lucky?

Why did the being called God get lucky or decide to become God the supreme? Y would something create itself to be so supreme and ask for its realization to liberate one's self?
Y is that you and me would have to go through all these different emotions? (please don't refer to Karma, then I would want to know why Karma started)
If god knew that we had to suffer so much why would he create us in first place? God knows everything (past/present/future), so why would he do such a thing?

I know its not easy being God, but y did he have to start all this suffering and suffer himself. Y did god create himself??????

I hope I will get answers here, I tried asking this question on Yahoo, didn't help.

You should have tried google, man - OK, I'll STFU now and let the real experts discuss it with you.

Alright, so I also checked this at wolfram alpha, a recent computational knowledge engine ( yup, this is a shameless plug for Mr. Wolfram and his massive tome - "A New Kind of Science" - available online, you can google that ).

Anyway I asked "Why does God allow suffering " at - http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i...ow+sufferin g

The response:

"Wolfram|Alpha isn't sure how to compute an answer from your input"

Now, that's scarily honest - That engine is getting smarter by the day !

Meantime, back to the human experts.

Well if you think you are (and everything else is god) you may begin to see things differently.

Hindu mythology has many instances where god him/herself has to enter into the earth and work out their karma.

If you consider that God is a human invention then the inconsistencies become easier to understand.

I'm a Hindu, but I just wanted to quote the above since what you mentioned had "Atheism" written all over it.

I understand that u are referring to Advaita/non-dulaism. But y all this Karma is my question, who decided that we/God had to go through all this? I would have to refer u back to my original question again.

The nice thing about religion is that these questions (and all others) can be answered. You just have to make shit up, since no one can check it.

If you are particularly good at making up stories, you get to be a religious leader and many people will have sex with you while even more people will give you money. Because, after all, religion is a transaction.

Of course you can't get good answers on Yahoo...Yahoo is free.

By the way, great story in post #5. Absolutely content-free and meaningless.

There is an African tribe with a creation myth which begins with the First Being jerking off, and the world being the result of that primordial ejaculation. So basically, their Creator couldn't help himself. Works for me.

The latter two that you have mentioned have answers, but the former doesn't.

I'm a theist & I believe in god. I don't doubt the effects of Karma, I'm just trying to figure out the source.

Hope that makes my question clear.
