I met a guy names Venkatesh Swami when I was up at the Tirumala Temple. He said his temple was in Kadapa. I've attached a picture. Does anyone know anything about him? Also, his tikka is rather unique. Any ideas what it means?

His Tilak/tikka is indeed unique. But ideally I wouldn't attach much significance to that. Though there are fixed rule on how to wear the tikka in different sects, sometimes it just boils down to what people finally want to wear.

When he said "his temple was in Kadapa". He might have meant he works/attends in a Temple near kadapa. It does not mean there is a temple dedicated to him in kadapa.

Thanks for the reply. From how he spoke of it, it seemed to me that he was at the very least one of the higher ups at this temple in Kadapa. He also seemed to know (and be known by) a lot of people in Tirumala as a lot of people were greeting him and he was getting a lot respect.

Hi,
It is possible that he is well known among some people at Thirumala. India is huge place and I was just trying to err on the safe side . Didn't want someone to get bad opinion or get dupped by people.
