Traditional Laya Yoga

Anyone familiar with Laya Yoga? I am referring to the traditional school of yoga by this name.. not contemporary knockoffs (e.g. Kundalini).

Any insight is very welcome.

FOR CLARIFICATION:

I AM referring to the traditional school of yoga by this name.. NOT contemporary knockoffs (e.g. Kundalini)

My apologies for the confusion and thanks Nick for trying to help.

For some reason I was unable to edit the original post. Any idea why?

Many forums have a time limit on editing and deleting posts. Last time I asked, ours was two days.

I have edited you opening post for you: hope that helps.

I'll edit the thread title too, so maybe people who were puzzled by your post will come back for another look

Just out of curiosity, why do you consider Kundalini a 'contemporary knock-off'?

The elevation of consciousness culminating in liberation is the essential objective of the Laya Yoga system. However, Kundalini Yoga, which some now equate to Laya Yoga, has been misconstrued and exploited by shrewd yoga instructors, “sadhus” and the like. Kundalini Yoga is a recent invention which remains unmentioned by sannyasins of the Nath Sampradaya to which Laya Yoga’s origins are easily and clearly traced. In fact, Kundalini Yoga is primarily a Western phenomenon in terms of instructors, publishings, etc.

Laya Yoga

Are you referring to the practice where one concentrates on the inner sound/s called "anaahata naada" to eventually merge the mind [merging is "laya") with the sound?
