torn between 2 ashrams!
hi,
I'm looking to spend a week or 2 in an ashram in Rishikesh and have narrowed my choice down to 2, it's between Phool Chatti and Anand Prakash. Do any of you have any experience of staying at either of these? I know it's going to be down to me to make the decision at the end of the day (and I may spend some time in both!!) but any opinions would be gratefully received! thanks, Titch x |

I'd advise spending time in both. Different Ashrams have different policies, teachings and so forth. It is probably a good idea to experiment a little, since you may find one is better suited for you. I can't remember the name of the last one I was at, but I didn't like the Swami and the whole thing felt under-supervised. Although I did like the way it was quite relaxed about not turning up to meditations at 5.30 AM
Oh yeah, if you see a girl called Sophie from Mauritius please tell her Ross said hello ![]() |
