Talking Studying Yoga and Meditation

Hi all,

I am planning a trip to India in late-July. I was hoping to study Yoga and meditation and would like to get any advice from people who might have done this.

One should note that I am a relative novice, and would ideally have some instruction in English. Other than that, I am flexible regarding location and even the type of instruction.

I have been looking online but have found too many tour companies, and not enough people with real advice.

Specifically, thoughts on how to choose what to study, e.g. Vispassana vs. various types of Yoga, and where to study?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Matt

I would like to know about this too. I am planning on heading northwards to Himachel Pradesh, would I be likely to find anywhere I could study yoga for a few days in this region?

For what it's worth I wrote a small article/review about Vipassana.
I plan to make a new more complete version of it for ages but somehow...

Anyway, you can find it HERE.

hmmmm

OK, I can now see why people go to India to study Yoga

Strange, we all advise women to be respectfull and cover their arms whilst in India.
