I went to Whitefields a few times. We belonged to another Ashram, so sort of a courtesy call.
Ummm, he wasn't there both times.
People were pleasant enough to us.
Invited us to stay for Satsang, and meditate with them.

It was when he had the trouble with the European guys suing him.
I got the feeling he didn't want to see any foreigners for a while(me).
Just a feeling.

Never been there myself, but know a few Baba devotees who live in Puttaparthy and Whitefield full time and shift between the two places as and when Baba does, they swear by the place and would not live anywhere else.

I was a few times for some months in Parthi, Whitefield and Kodai, know a lot of old devotees and was in the Sai org. for years. He is a bogus pedophile guru. Most of the old devotees are aware enough of what is going on behind the scenes, but you will have to pres them a little to get there. Why do you think Baba advices visitors not to mix with the permanent residents too much? Probably the same reasons photographing and filming was prohibited after discovering tricks behind "materialization" on some of them..

btw a lot of the bio data is forged, not only the hagiographic miraculous fantasies but even birth dates (different ones were found in documents like old school records in schools he attended than what is official) were changed to fit the supposed Aurobindo's prophecies..

All in all I doubt he is a "God in form" I'm afraid.. just another clever Indian feeding on peoples credulity and desires for a father figure and a higher meaning in life... without too much effort

If your young and blond haired and blue-eyed boy, keep a lock on your trousers. I hear he likes those types.

one thing i like about Osho Rajneesh is he was not a humbug.
Rajneesh never pretended what he was not.
he was good orator and writer, never showed tricks of producing gold watches or coins from thin air.
He said he wants to help rich only , as there are so many others to care for poor.

This baba or that baba. They are all fakes. No guru for me. Lots of followers, foreign jaunts, accepting adulation, he is a fake.

Indeed. I'm just wondering who to announce that I am the re-incarnation of, before I start marketing myself .

As far as I know, the original (or genuine, as some might say) Sai Baba was just a guy who came to live by a temple, and got known for giving good advice to people. He was also a Muslim, so there was a cross-religion, secular, aspect to his popularity.

I don't think he announced himself as anything, or set himself up as anything, in any way like some of those more given to marketing.

Of course, there are also those who begin by having good things to teach and get corrupted.
