Passover in Puri?
OK, so it may not be as grand as the now famous Passover Seder in Katmandu, but if anyone is planning to be in the vicinity of Puri for Passover, we are planning a Seder at our house and IM’ers are cordially invited. I guess I should call it the Puri Passover IM meet-up.
Anyways, I can’t (yet) promise Matzah ball soup, but there will definitely be Matzah. Passover falls on Saturday, April 23 this year. If you will be in the neighborhood, please PM me for more info/directions. |

Thanks for asking!
The Seder wemt off without a hitch - we had everything from tasty egg matzahs to Shmura maatzah directly from Israel. Instead of wine we made grape juice and the "shank bone" was a halal goat. All in all it was a "Kosher Pesach".
It would have been nice to have had more people at the table, but we were seven people from different countries - Italy, Germany, India, and Great Britain. Since for everyone except my family it was a first Seder, it was a bit more subdued than what I am used to. Nonetheless, it was alot of fun and will probably happen again next year. So, it is not too soon to reserve a place at the table! |
