looking for YOGI BHAJAN ASHRAM IN INDIA

Hi there
I am making my first trip to india and am looking for a great reputable ashram that follows the philosophy of Yogi Bhajan, in term of yoga and meditation.
Does such an ashram exist?
If not what are my other best bets. (I am looking for a preferably) free ashram to study yoga and meditation in a beautiful setting. no charlatans please!

thank you!

Hi Sonia Sonia

I'm sure there are many free training centers there in South Africa that specialize in yoga. While it may be difficult to find the same in India, you've made a smart choice by starting at IndiaMike.

Do take the time to look around here in the forums. You'll find the members to be knowledgeable and helpful. The search feature will usually get you pointed in the right direction. From what I've seen, IndiaMike'ers and the forum moderators do a damn good job of spotting the tricksters, openly calling them to task.

As Goran says, good luck!

welll... try searching 3ho websites for this kind of yoga. my teacher is doing ky teacher training in rishikesh this fall/ winter. (http://yogahouse.org/Teachers/Training.html) scroll down. Actully my brother in law found a kundalini yoga teacher in varanasi(but its not yogi bhajan kundalini yoga) http://www.angelfire.com/in/vagyoga/ . Ok? Yes others have made point Samadhi is highest yoga ok? Vipassana is very effective and direct route to this and free. I think kundalini brings occult powers, but 'even these are obstacles to samadhi' according to patanjali. Deep meditation is higest aim of yoga. but , good luck to you dearest friend
