Kali temples

Dear indiamikers!
I'd be infinitely grateful if you could help me locate Kali temples in India (preferably South India).

I'm sure there can be lots and lots of them, bit I have a limitation in my trips: I always go to India with my son (and he's 4 years old now) so ideally I'm loking at the places 1) easily accessible by train ( to exclude long taxi-rides, because we are also budget-travellers )and 2) I can find a either homestays or at least one place in town where the staff woukd be able to understand what I mean when I say that I want my son's meals to contain no spices whatsoever !

Thank you so much!
Jai Kali! Sarva- priyankari!

If you are interested in Uttranchal....number of temples are dedicated to Goddess Kali (Bhagwati)....

Thank you. I might consider going to Uttaranchal as well (I guess, it could be a relatively short detour from Delhi)!

One of my faves is the Madras Kali Bari, which is a small replica of the famous Dakshineswar Kali temple of Calcutta (home of Sri Ramakrishna). Good vibes, in West Mambalam area.

the "south Indian" Kalis tend to be more local manifestations like Kaligambal in Georgetown (Chennai), or "Bhadrakali."

Thanks to everyone for the contribution! More so for making it personal - it's always interesting to know WHY people like a specific Temple, what energies bring people there and what you feel is so SPECIAL about the place!

Oh, thanks again and again! I am not sure about Calcutta but I'm definitely going to include Kerala in my itinerary (even though I've already been there). Now I have another reason to go there!
