Info on Yoga Study Centre in Rishikesh

I haven't been able to find much info on the place other than its open when I want to be there (June/July). I'm looking for 2-3 week courses where I'm going to get more than just practicing postures. Thanks

Did you decide you're going to join there or open to other places as well?

I'm open to other places, its on my list along with the Himalyan Iyengar Yoga Centre, and Rishikesh Yogpeeth. Just looking for prices, course contents etc.

Are you particularly interested in Yoga Study Centre run by Rudra Dev? I've practiced there twice in 1998 and 2005. In june he can leave to Kailas or wherever. Though his intensive courses take place 3 times a year: in September, February, April ( according to the link above), he teaches all the time except some months.

So there is no problem to join his classes just visit him beforehand during a day and present yourself to him and show him that you are interested in studying yoga sincerely. After that interview you can join his classes which were free of charge ( donations accepted).

I also studied in other two places in Rishikesh with instructor Pankaj Sharma ( his style is close to Iyengar's) and Surinder Singh ( very mild basic style). Both of them were teaching in the hotels - "Green Hotel" and "Raj hotel" ( everybody knows these places).

thanks guys. I'm usually one to book something like this in advance, but I'm thinkin' I should just rock up to Rishikesh and take a look around first. Thanks for the advice!

I d like to visit yoga study center in next Feb too...but could not find the intensive class schedule, would like to attend.Rudra Dev's class.....

YES. me too. i can't find any info about the schedule. It would be very good to get this. i plan to go to there this Sep.
