i readed something in the lonely planet about Dr MS Chauhan.

he is in jaipur, and is a gem thereapist and healer.

he can tell u what kind a stone the best fit you when wearing one with you

there is no charge, its based on donations, usual is rs500 and maybe some more after you r cured.

sounds good.

Apropos of nothing, but if so many people believe even half of what the religious crowd (any faith will do) tell them, should we be surprised that someone on IM believes crystals have special powers?

It's no worse than someone saying they talk to god.

Because I have an interest in lapidary, a friend gave me a copy of the book "Indian Gemmology" by Mr. Raj Roop Tank of Jaipur. The cost shown inside the cover is 15 Rp, but is probably out of date. It seems to cover what you are seeking. Besides factual gem information there's a lot of folklore which is probably best taken with a grain (crystal) of sodium chloride..

Naturally there is ample research published in respected medical journals to support this position, just as there is ample evidence that proves god listens to people who talk to him/her/it/whatever.

I'd do it. Just for the experience. No harm can come to you as long as the gem stones are placed on your body. (eating them may pose some health risks, as it did to some Europeans during the rennaisance when it was a medical treatment option for the wealthy)

If I was on death's door, I may not rely solely on this type of healing. I might add it to existing medical treatments. Certainly if others have experienced positive results, I might give it a try.

It costs me about rps 500 to go to a movie here in San Francisco. I see it, its over, may-be if its really good I'll learn something from it or be moved by the story. I can think of many worse things to say good-bye to money over.

It may-be a blessing, it may-be a scam....who cares!
