finding an ashram in early april

i've just finished 3 years yoga teacher training in the uk and am going to india with a fellow student to get the feel of yoga from its origin. we are finding it hard to diciede on north or south will the south be to hot??
we are there for 3 weeks and would like to spend 10 dayish in an ashram

any help gratefully recieved

Though there are many Yoga teaching centres, suggest you following:

www.kym.com(Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram in Chennai.
http://www.sivananda.org/neyyardam..Shivananda Yooga ashram in Neyyar dam.They have branches in Chennai, Madurai and in the north also.

Since you have already done 3year youga teachers training course, better to write to them to find out if they have 10 day class for you.

While north has extreme temperatures, south will have almost same climate msot of the year(monsoon, hills excluded).

From february 3 months its humid in the kerala and hot in other south parts.Sivananda have the vacation courses but nothing much.
You could see if they have the advanced ttc ,its 2 weeks. You could also see the tulasidalam ashram in kerala. they also have good 10 day yoga programs.
