Drop in classes in Mysore

Hello

I am planning on going to Mysore to do drop in yoga classes in two weeks time for about two weeks. I was wondering if anyone could recommend somewhere to do this. I am travelling alone so would really like to go somewhere that is reasonably sociable where i can also meet any travellers. Recommendations on accommodation would be great too.

How did it go?

I just got into Mysore today and found the schools expensive and in need of two week commitments. I dont have that amount of time here. One is offering a one week course, but its only one hour at 11am. Im feeling a little put out by all of this. I thought there would be a large amount of choice here, like Rishikesh for example or even Mcleod Ganj.

Im sure this is a place for the serious yoga practitioner, but serious seems to realte directly to expensive! Any comments you have, accomodation etc would be greatly appreciated.

Mandala offers drop in classes. I spent few weeks there recently and I highly recommend Ashtanga Vinyasa with Sri Chidananda and backbending course.
