In German Termin (from Latin terminus) means "date, appointment" in your agenda. slotek did not know the appropriate word, and thought he might try this one because it sounds sufficiently English. There are some words in German in common usage which are used in English too, albeit often in a different way. He was not lucky with this one, but someone else got it. Ahh!

I've edited the thread title also.

English is the language of this site, but it is not the first language of many of our members. Nobody should mind making mistakes .

You're right, Atala --- imagine if I had to cope with, for example, Tamil, all day!!!! .

Hi Slotek,
Holi is on 21 March in 2008. The same day as Good Friday.

Sorry, couldn't reply to you in German. My German vocab covers only a few choice cusswords. Very effective, I must admit. Better than English!

Holi is on March 22. The Elephant Festival in Jaipur is on March 21.

Enjoy!
