Hey,

Anyone know where I can find out the Dalai Lama's schedule? I can't seem to find it online, but have been told its avaliable. I'm determined to hear him speak sometime soon...

If you can fly to the US, he'll be here in September. Two places I know of where he'll be speaking are New York and Colorado, but I am sure tickets are long gone by now.

Just go to this website, and then click on "teaching dates" or "schedule" (something like that), and you'll find his teaching schedule for the entire year.

I've been on Tibet.com before....clearly totally missed the 'teaching dates' link

Hopefully I'll be able to see him early 2007 in India

thanks for the info !! just got ticket to hear Dalai Lama's teaching in NYC. so excited!! funny thing - I came to indiamike to start planning my second trip to dharamsala, and oops found out the the Dalai Lama comes to visit me in town

you never know what you can find on indiamike

I went to see the Dalai Lama speak once in Central Park (NYC). I had to wake up supper early and walk many blocks to get there. By the time I got there, there was this feeling of spirituality everywhere in the park. All the people walking to the location where he was going to speak were so nice and helpful, and I immediately felt this sense of spirituality in the surroundings. But the best part was when I got to the exact location. Everything was so peaceful, and people where doing Yoga, meditating, praying, etc. And to my surprise, many offered their blanket for me to seat, cause little forgetful me forgot to bring one.

No matter how far you may have to travel or how many inconveniences you may have to suffer to see him. I guarantee you that that experience will be worth the effort. Good luck on your search.
