Kindly avoid the use of SMS language or chat speak. Please spell out all your words in full English, so that we may more easily understand your posts. This means writing out "don't" and "can" instead of "dnt" and "cn". "Would" is the word; not "wud"! I got an itinerary....please suggest on the same.

3rd Dec:10.30a.m.Get down at Hasimara Stn.Go for Jaldapara tourist lodge.Lunch.Jeep safari in the afternoon.

4th Dec:Morning.Elephant Safari.Rest of the day at leisure.

5th Dec:After breakfast.Go for Hasimara Stn.Catch train for Aliporeduar.Reach at 12pm.Hire a car and go for Jayanti.Lunch.Rest of the day....stroll here and there.

6th Dec:Jayanti tour.Afternoon catch Kanchankanya for Sealdah.

My questions are 1)How can I reach Jaldapara after getting down at Hasimara.
2)After elephant safari where can I visit which is worth visiting(I am weary of visiting the leopard rehabilitation center as we get to see those poor animals in zoos also.It feels bad).Will chilapata be a good option?Can I get a car on rent?
3)Would I get a car on rent from Alipurduar.Or should I take a autorikshaw to Jayanti and then rent a car for touring Jayanti the following day.
4)I would get the morning of 6th only for visiting Jayanti.What are the must sees there?I wont be able to go for any trek as I would travel with my wife and 3yr old kid.
I am visiting dooars at the same time. How many memeber are there in your team? I will be going with my wife. I will boardng the same train. But have reservation upto New Mal Junction i.e. Maalbazar. Can we plan together?

I have booked barodabari-malangi lodge for staying 2 days (15-17 October) at jaldapara. I have some queries,

How did you book these lodges? 1.

Is it possible to book both the elephant safari and jeep safari from wbfdc lodge? I have heard that those who are not staying at wbtdc guest houses will have very small chance for Elephant safari. Is it true?

2. On 17th evening we have train from Alipur duar. So, is it possible to visit the Phuntsholing within 3-4 hours after an early lunch, on the last day? What are the places to be visited at Phuntsholing?

Somebody please reply to my queries and any suggestion regarding this place will be helpful.

Regards,
Sudipta
If your trip is over please post your itenary.

I went jhalong from NJP by a hired Maruti Omni.Cost- Rs.-1700.

The type of transport for my trip was hired car point to point basis.The forest bungalow caretaker can easily arrange a car for you according to your needs. Buses/share jeeps are also available for some routs but you may have to wait for sometime.I am giving you the details of transport which I have chosen,

jhalong-bindu-paren---->900.(Omni)
paren-Suntaleykhola---->1400(Bolero)
Suntaleykhola-new mal-->900(jeep)
hasimara-hollong------->400(Omni)
hollong-barodabari----->900(Omni)
Chilapata safari------->800(Sumo)

I think these will help you some extent.

I have not done jeep safari in Jaldapara. Rate for elephant safari is 300 per head. It starts at 5:30 in the morning and each safari extends for one hour. elephant safari will occur 3 times in morning.

As of now I have not calculated my total expense for this trip, Actually it was my family trip so I have not concentrated on total expense. But if you want, I will tell u later.

By the way, what are the places you want to cover?

regards,
Sudipta Roy

Hello !

We, a group of four families, 8 adults & 4 children, are planning a trip to Jayanti during 9th January'12 to 13th January'12.

We had already requested booking at PHE Bunglow at Jayanti on 09-01-12 & 10-01-12.

For the next destination during the remaining two days, 11th & 12th, January'12, we are thinking of Rasik Bill [also considering our styal at WBFDC at Rasik Bill]. But we are bit confused, whether it will be right.......or there are any better alternative.

As such please suggest ........
