Where to stay in NJP if train is on next day morning?

If i have to catch train in morning from NJP and tour ends in late evening or afternoon,then where to stay in NJP? How far is NJP and siliguri? Will i be getting any mode to transfer to NJP in early morning? Please suggest.

Dear Abhishek,

First of all, please use full name of the places and not the Station Codes like NJP on Indiamike. Not all people understand them.

Now coming to your question. Both New Jalpaiguri and Siliguri are kind of twin cities, they are just 8 KMs away from each other.

You can stay in Hotel Holydon or Baidyanath at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station. Both are basic hotels.

Any good hotels near by station other than this for one night stay.I have to catch avadh Assam Exp in morning at 5.50am.Please advice.

is it walkable distance to station from these hotels.beacuse i am going for honeymoon trip and will have 2-3 heavy luggage.

Yes ! They are at a walking distance from the Rly. Station.

Contact no. of Hotel Holydon is 0353-2691162/335. An AC room shuld cost you around Rs. 750/-

However, I must tell you that these are not swish hotels that you might be thinking for your honeymoon trip.

you can also stay at hotel Heritage or hotel Manila ....both they are good hotels but not quite expensive.and just opposite the bus stand and beside SNT stand in Siliguri ....you can easily take an auto rickshaw (which cost you around 60 rupees) to reach the rail station ....it hardly takes about 20/25 mins....

I have already planned gud trip n luxorius Hotels in my 9 days trip to sikkim n darjeeling,since i will be coming from gangtok on last day of itenary n shall reach NJP by 4pm n my train runs only in morning,so i need for just a night stay.

Yet you have people wasting their time giving you details of budget hotels because you didn't mention your budget.

2-3 heavy luggage + honeymoon = get an auto.

Or at least advise your wife on the most efficient way to carry 3 heavy cases.

What exactly are you looking for. I suggested you two good hotels which are situated close to the Railway Station..........
